Rainbow Inflatable
Happy, happy Friday! It’s hard to believe that Easter is right around the corner. Time is flying! Today I want to share how a rainbow inflatable can help inflate learning in your classroom.
I’m obsessed with inflatables, in case you couldn’t already tell :). They bring so much excitement to both children and adults! Did you know inflatables aren’t just for decoration and you don’t have to use them in the pool? They can help inflate learning in the classroom or at home.
Rainbows are so beautiful. My husband and I live in Florida, and many times in the summer we’ll get some heavy rainstorms, but afterwards rainbows will usually appear and they are truly amazing. Do you agree? We’ve even been blessed to see double rainbows!
The possibilities are truly endless with this rainbow inflatable from Amazon. Here are some ideas below:
- Pre-K and K students can practice identifying the colors of the rainbow.
- They can practice counting the number of colors on the rainbow.
- Students can also count the number of pockets on the inflatable.
- Students can share if they’ve ever seen a rainbow before and what that experience was like.
- Once students identify the colors, you can have a classroom scavenger hunt where they look for those same colors in the room. If they find an item, have them bring it back to the carpet and put it on the inflatable. Then, as a whole group or small group, review the item colors together.
- I’ve made a syllable sort activity for Pre-K and K students that you can find here. Students will practice identifying the picture, counting the number of syllables, and placing it in the correct pocket. This activity can be a station/center, or you can practice it in a small group. Either, way the students are going to love it!
As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Happy, happy Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
