Pineapple Syllable Activity
Happy Friday, friends! I know it’s been awhile since I’ve last posted. Life has been a little crazy lately. Hope you all are doing well. How is summer almost over? Time is flying! What fun things did you do this summer? My husband and I love spending time on the beach soaking up the sun. Today I’m sharing how you can incorporate this pineapple inflatable in your classroom using a pineapple syllable activity.
Are you a fan of 🍍 pineapple? I love the smell of pineapple and am obsessed with pina coladas, but eating pineapple by itself is not for me. They are very sweet and so pretty to look at.
I created a Pre-K/K pineapple syllable activity to use with this pineapple inflatable. Students will identify the number of syllables in each word. When I was in the classroom, the kids loved getting to clap the syllables. It gave them an excuse to be extra loud 😉. The students will then practice sorting the objects into the correct pocket in the inflatable. You can grab the task card and syllable sort activity here.
This pineapple syllable activity would be perfect for small group. Students could take turns clapping and sorting the object into the correct pocket. It would also make for an awesome station! Students could partner up and take turns clapping and sorting. I’ve also included an answer key for the teacher as well as if any students need/want to check it at their station.
Don’t forget you can also introduce the pineapple inflatable during circle time. The teacher can ask students if they have ever seen a pineapple before. What did it look like? What does it taste like? Students love telling you about their experiences.
I hope you have an extra sweet week! I’ll see you back here soon 🙂 .
